Flowers bloom as friendship grows

As plentiful as the bright pink rose.

We pick flowers from the feilds and run to have fun

We run until the day is done.

The season wanes so quickly. We are sad for it is Summer.

We won't see each other for a while. What a bummer.

But the time without each other flies

And we soon meet again to make mudpies.

And sit under the shade of a tree to silently sip lemonade

While fresh homemade cupcakes are made

A long trip to the beach is fun

We make sandcastles under the sun.

Ice cream is devoured to the very last drop

and who could resist a frozen friut pop?

Soon it is time for Summer the leave.

Soon we will dance underneath falling leaves.

We bundle up in coats and gloves.

And make Christmas crafts and cards for the ones we love.

We go house to house singing Christmas carols for fun

Then make snowmen and drink hot chocolate when we’re done.

We've played all year, through all the seasons.

Our friendship won't end for any reason!

We look forward to when the first school bell will ring

And happily give each other gifts we bring.

We rake leaves into a bunch them jump in with a CRUNCH

Then we munch on pumpkin pie for lunch.

It’s the season to be thankful on a wonderful holiday.

On that day we have no school so we get together and play.

We bake chocolate chip cookies to snack on with cold milk

And watch movies while cuddling under a blanket as soft as silk.

The air is getting colder, the days are getting dark.

We take our last walk to the park.

We make gingerbread houses for a gingerbread man

With peppermint buttons and chocolate hands.

Together we nibble on his limbs until the very last crumb.

And have sweet dreams each night full of sugar plums.

We bundle up in coats and gloves.

And make Christmas crafts and cards for the ones we love.

We go house to house singing Christmas carols for fun

Then make snowmen and drink hot chocolate when we’re done.

Easter chocolate bunnies from friend to friend

Are eaten from end to end.

New baby animals can be seen

And the world is covered with green.

A collaborative poem, also known as a collective poem, is a type of poem in which two or more authors converse to share ideas, thought and opinions. These ideas, thoughts and opinions can be combined to create a poem. Usually, collective poems are more in-depth compared to poems written by a single author because the combination of all of the opinions and thoughts of the authors is combined to create a poem that incorporates all of the ideas, whereas indivdual poems have only on point of veiw or set of ideas. Collaborative poems can be written in any form, and the individual voicesof each author is usually distinguishable.

Friendship is Always in Season

by Brynn Siles and Anjali Velamala

Three Poets and Minase

by Sogi, Shohaku, and Socho Gotoba-joko

Despite some snow

the base of the hills spreads with haze

the twilight scene

where the waters flow afar

the village glows with sweet plumb flowers

In the river wind

a single stand of willow trees

show spring color

day break comes on distinctly

with sounds of punted boat
